Up for sale is a Walthers HO Scale Pennsylvania Railroad Fairbanks-Morse H10-44 yard switcher (#5980). This item is being offered strictly for parts, custom detailing, or an easy chassis swap project.
Unlike most salvage models, the mechanical foundation of this engine is in excellent condition. The metal chassis, internal motor, side trucks, and wheelsets are fully tested and functional. The plastic body shell has sustained cosmetic damage, making this a perfect donor mechanism to revive another locomotive!

- The Chassis & Motor: Tested and fully working. The heavy metal underframe is straight and structurally sound. The premium motor and dual brass flywheels run smoothly.
- Trucks & Wheelsets: The 4-axle Bo-Bo gear trucks and metal wheelsets are clean, completely intact, and roll smoothly. Excellent electrical pickup.
- The Body Shell: The upper plastic shell is damaged along the roofline near the cab,front end, as well as the coupling stud/screw holes are busted out. It requires extensive styrene repair or patch work if you plan to save it. However, it still holds excellent value for salvaging intact detail pieces like the flush-fit cab windows, steps, if your a scratch builder.
