Up for sale is a high-quality, American-made vintage Supreme Chuck Model 1A precision drill chuck. Supreme was a legendary industrial competitor to Jacobs, known for incredibly tough, solid-steel construction.
This unit features a 0 to 1/4" capacity and comes mounted on a unique rear arbor spindle adapter equipped with a knurled thumb wheel collar. This specialized backing setup is ideal for vintage precision instrument lathes, watchmaker tailstocks, or flexible shaft tool setups.
Condition Notes:
The exterior steel casing has a beautiful vintage patina with minor surface tarnish, but no heavy rust. The internal 3-jaw mechanism is exceptionally clean, moves freely, and aligns beautifully. Please note that the chuck key is NOT included; it accepts standard 1/4" capacity chuck keys (such as a Jacobs K0 key or equivalent).
