VTG 1950s EKCO Made in USA Miracle Gem Floral Handheld Strainer Kitchen Tools 

This item is a vintage handheld sifter or strainer, frequently identified as a "Miracle Gem" model from the 1950s. 

These small kitchen tools were typically used for straining seeds, fruits, or sifting small amounts of flour and powdered sugar. 

Physical Dimensions:

  • Total Length: Approximately 7.5 to 8 inches (including the handle) [3, 12, 20].
  • Strainer Diameter: Usually 2.5 to 3 inches across the top rim [12, 20, 21].
  • Depth: The metal basket is roughly 1.25 inches deep [20].

Materials & Construction:

  • Body: Lightweight lithographed tin or metal, featuring an applied floral motif (most commonly pink and red roses with green leaves) [1, 2, 4].
  • Mesh: Fine wire metal screen, suitable for sifting flour or straining tea and fruit seeds [2, 3, 20].
