• Vtg 1930's Dawn of Intelligence Picture Painting Print Framed Antique Peasant Family Bernard Pothast
•  Dawn of Intelligence by the Dutch painter Bernard Pothast. 
• Bernard Pothast (1882-1966) was known for his genre paintings, particularly of peasant families in rustic interiors. 
• The work depicts a mother with her children, often shown in a serene domestic scene illuminated by natural light. 
• Pothast studied at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam and the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, developing a style of Academic Realism. 
• His paintings can be found in various private and public collections, including museums in Europe and the United States
•  bought a bunch of pictures, told these were hanging in the butler courthouse back in the day    guessing donated by the class of graduating students    not sure how to tell if its a painting or a print, not an art expert    bought 4 different pictures all framed   couple are marked 1935-1936 1937 class of      one painting must have had another picture overtop of it,  we spent awhile cleaning the black glkue off the glass....
