Vintage Sloan & Co Excelsior Silver Pens No 458 Nib Box Pittsburg PA Antique
This rare antique writing collectible is a vintage box of Excelsior Silver Pens No. 458, manufactured and imported by Sloan & Co. based out of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Originating around the late 1890s to early 1900s, this piece showcases the historical spelling of "Pittsburg" without the "h" which helps pinpoint its production timeline. This original packaging features highly detailed vintage typographic lithography with striking red and blue detailing. Because few intact original outer boxes from this specific regional importer survive today, it is considered a very rare find for collectors of vintage fountain pens, dip pen nibs, and early American office advertising ephemera.
