Manufactured primarily during the 1940s to 1950s, these clear plastic, dome-topped glass-style fluid caps with bright yellow threaded bases were designed as a popular period-accurate aftermarket or GM-approved dealership accessory for classic vehicles of the era. They served to automatically monitor cell fluid levels while protecting classic vehicle batteries.
