Vintage King Werk German Lidded Beer Stein Through the Woods Hunt Scene
This vintage 0.5-liter German relief beer stein was manufactured by Original King (King Werk) in West Germany during the 1960s or 1970s. Crafted from durable stoneware, the body displays a detailed 3D relief hunting scene with a hunter resting under a tree. The flowing decorative banner features the classic German phrase "Durch die Wälder, durch die Auen, zog ich leichten Sinns dahin" ("Through the forests, through the meadows, I wandered with a light mind"). It comes fitted with an ornate pewter pointed lid stamped with the "DBGM" German patent registry mark on the interior underside. The base features an incised "Original" mark alongside an indented numerical shape number confirming its authentic collector series origin.
