Vintage GE General Electric DW-48 Exposure Light Meter Footcandles with Case
For auction is a vintage, original General Electric (GE) Type DW-48 exposure light meter with its genuine brown leather carrying case and strap. Manufactured in the USA during the 1940s, this historic analog device utilizes a self-powered selenium photoelectric cell to accurately measure light levels in footcandles without requiring batteries. The textured black Bakelite body is structurally intact, and the glass face remains highly visible. The multi-tiered calculator dial on the front turns freely. The included protective leather case displays normal age-related surface wear but has strong vintage stitching and functioning straps. This classic piece of mid-century Americana is an excellent addition to any retro camera collection or shelf display. Item is sold strictly as-is/untested.
