Origin: Made in Solingen, Germany (a famous historic city renowned for high-quality blades and cutlery craftsmanship).
Era: Likely dates back to the 1950s or 1960s. York Cutlery Co. was started in York, Pennsylvania, by a Mr. Gutmann, who imported high-quality, tang-stamped German knives to the United States during the post-WWII era.
Build Characteristics: It features a carbon steel clip-point blade, a traditional stacked leather washer handle with yellow spacer bands, a small integrated finger guard, and a polished aluminum pommel at the base.
Dimensions: As shown next to the measuring tape, the knife has an overall length of roughly 9.25 inches, with a blade length measuring just over 4.5 inches.
