Up for sale is a genuine, vintage 1997 Zippo windproof pocket lighter featuring a factory-applied front emblem of the classic Harley-Davidson Motor Cycles Bar & Shield logo.
Up for sale is a genuine, vintage 1997 Zippo windproof pocket lighter featuring a factory-applied front emblem of the classic Harley-Davidson Motor Cycles Bar & Shield logo.
The bottom stamp features the letter "B" and Roman numeral "XIII", dating the outer case to February 1997. It comes equipped with its authentic Zippo insert stamped "C XIII" (March 1997), making it a period-correct, factory-original matching assembly. Also includes the original collectible Harley-Davidson matching metal tin with foam insert.

- Hinge Condition: Hinge has lost most of its tension, lid is slightly shifted forward and noticeable side-to-side play. The lid does not snap shut with a tight click, though it does close down completely over the body. It is an ideal candidate for Zippo's free lifetime repair clinic if you prefer a tight fit.
- Exterior Case: The brushed chrome faces and high-polish sides show fine surface scuffs, light pocket scratches, and minor handling marks from previous use. No major dents.
- Interior Case & Cavity: The inner brass walls show standard tarnish and light carbon residue from use.
- Insert: Stamped original insert shows expected fuel staining and carbon buildup around the chimney. The flint wheel turns smoothly.
- Storage Tin: The exterior of the metal storage tin shows minor shelf wear and light oxidation spots along the bare edges, consistent with a 20+ year old collectible box.
Please note: The lighter is currently unfueled and will require a new flint and fluid to strike.
