Description
This is a vintage Life-Like Trains HO Scale Coal Hopper (Item #8573), decorated for the Union Pacific Railroad (U.P.). The car features the classic "Road of The Streamliners" slogan printed across the side panels in script lettering.
The car is finished in an authentic Union Pacific yellow body shell with black lettering, reporting marks (U.P. 32100), data stenciling, and an integrated black molded simulated coal load insert.
- Era / Date of Manufacture: Late 1970s – Early 1980s. This item represents a classic piece of model railroading history from Life-Like's high-volume manufacturing window, commonly included as a staple piece in their popular analog DC starter sets of that generation.

- Details: Features standard body-mounted wheel trucks and horn-hook couplers. The rolling stock sits completely unused inside its original protective internal clear plastic tray insert.

The end flap is clearly stamped with the factory code 8573 COAL HOPPER U.P. The packaging displays standard light shelf wear, minor corner soft spots, and age-related scuffs, but remains structurally solid with intact cellophane window plastic.
