Technical Installation & Gap Specs
For the best seal on a 22RE rebuild, adhere to these factory-style specifications:
- Standard End Gap (Top Ring): 0.25mm – 0.47mm (0.010" – 0.018")
- Standard End Gap (Second Ring): 0.15mm – 0.40mm (0.006" – 0.016")
- Orientation: Look for the "N" or "T" mark on the ring face. This mark MUST face up toward the cylinder head (piston crown).
- Staggering: Position ring gaps 90 to 120 degrees apart. Never align gaps with the piston pin axis or with each other.
Condition Note
These are New Old Stock (NOS) items. The rings are in factory-new, unused condition. The original NPR/NOA packaging may show minor shelf wear or "shop wear" from storage, but the components are 100% functional and ready for installation.
