About the Medal:
The Armed Forces Reserve Medal is awarded to officers and enlisted personnel of the Reserve components of the U.S. Armed Forces for completing or having completed a total of 10 years of honorable service in a reserve status. Service need not be consecutive, provided it was performed within a 12-year period.
The front of the bronze medal features a bugle, fife, and palm branches with 13 stars. The specific military branch is indicated on the reverse side of the medal.
