Lionel 6-0511 1981 TCA Convention Car St Louis Lighted Baggage 12 Wheel Boxed
Up for sale is a vintage 1981 Lionel O/O27 Gauge Illuminated Passenger Baggage Car (Model #6-0511). This was a special limited-edition release produced exclusively for the 1981 Train Collectors Association (TCA) National Convention held in St. Louis. It features a beautiful dark green body with gold lettering reading "The Gateway to the West - St. Louis," the official TCA National and St. Louis Chapter crests, and classic Railway Express Agency (REA) logos. The car is equipped with operating interior illumination, silhouette window passenger strips, die-cast magnetic knuckle couplers, and heavy 6-wheel metal trucks. Comes complete with its original factory window box and protective cardboard packing insert.
Condition:
- Car Body: Excellent to Like-New condition (C-7). The green plastic shell, black roof, and gold graphics are exceptionally clean and free of scratches, fading, or chips.
- Underside & Trucks: Very clean. Sintered metal wheels, pickup rollers, and axles show very minimal run time with no rust or corrosion.
- Box: Excellent original condition with bright graphics and crisp end flaps showing the correct factory stamping. The clear plastic display window is fully intact.
