Description
This is a full set of wartime aircraft identification prints by the celebrated war artist Charles Rosner. Produced during WWII, these "War Planes in Beautiful Colors" sets were designed to be both educational for spotting enemy aircraft and decorative for home framing.  Size approx 4.5" by 6"
  • Art & Artist: Each print features high-quality color artwork by Charles Rosner, depicting various Allied and Axis aircraft in flight.
  • The Set: The full set includes 24 distinct planes from major combatant nations, such as the U.S. B-24 Liberator (featured on the cover envelope), the British Spitfire, the German Messerschmitt, and the Japanese Zero.
  • Reverse Content: The back of each print provides a detailed technical description of the aircraft, along with "How to Spot It" identification keys, which were vital for civilian defense education at the time.
  • Packaging: The set is contained within its original illustrated mailing envelope, which features a prominent bear insignia and the original "25¢" price point.
  • Condition: Prints are in very good condition. No stains, tears or creasing. Envelope is discolored due to age and has some small tears and creasing. No missing pieces.
