This is an authentic, antique manual hand-crank food chopper and meat grinder produced by the Dana brand. Stamped directly onto the side of the heavy cast-iron housing is the model designation, No. 20. The reverse side showcases clean, raised lettering featuring a series of progressive historical patent dates: "4.10.94" (April 10, 1894), "8.21.94" (August 21, 1894), and a final patent date of "1.6.03" (January 6, 1903), making this a genuine turn-of-the-century early American kitchen collectible. It features its original contoured wooden crank handle grip and an integrated table or countertop edge mounting clamp. This particular Dana No. 20 model is a highly sought-after and rare piece compared to the much more ubiquitous No. 40 variants, making it an uncommon find for collectors of rustic farmhouse primitives or vintage culinary hardware.
