Ancient Roman Bronze Relics Lot 3 Pieces 1st-5th Century AD Found Bath England
A fascinating group of three bronze/copper alloy artifacts from a private collection, presented together on a fitted oval wooden display plaque. A typed label on the plaque identifies them as Roman Relics, 1st to 5th Century AD, found outside Bath, England.
Bath (Roman Aquae Sulis) is one of the most significant Roman sites in Britain, famous for its sacred spring and temple complex dedicated to the goddess Sulis Minerva. The surrounding region has yielded numerous Roman artifacts over the centuries.
The lot comprises three pieces:
1. IMPLEMENT/BROOCH FRAGMENT — Elongated bronze piece, possibly a cosmetic implement, stylus, or brooch component. Shows green verdigris patina consistent with ancient bronze.
2. LEAF-SHAPED VOTIVE/MOUNT — Attractive leaf-shaped bronze piece with molded vein detail. Leaf-shaped votive offerings are well documented from Roman sacred sites in Britain, particularly those associated with water cults such as Bath.
3. CURVED FITTING/BROOCH FRAGMENT — Curved bronze fragment, possibly part of a brooch, fitting, or decorative mount.
All three pieces display green verdigris patina consistent with genuine ancient bronze. Presented on original oval wooden display plaque with identification label.
