20's Vtg Brass Chrome Flashlight Slide Switch Hook Home Decor Sol ray camping
antique 1920s Sol-Ray C-cell brass flashlight, originally distributed by Montgomery Ward & Co..
Key Characteristics & Value
Design & Lens: These distinct flashlights are known for their uniquely curved or slightly convex glass lens, which differed from the typical flat or heavy "walleye" lenses common to other brands during the era.
Dimensions: As shown next to the Lufkin folding ruler, this compact version measures roughly 6.5 inches in length, making it a standard pocket-size C-cell model.
Collectibility: Sol-Ray was an early American flashlight manufacturer that experimented with different aesthetic casings and switch configurations to carve out a niche market. Finding them with the original lens intact is rare, as replacements were difficult to source even when they were newly manufactured
