1958 Newspaper Lot Klondike Bulletin & Carson Barnes Circus Poster
This unique historical paper lot features an authentic piece of mid-century Americana. Included is a complete, original 8-page edition of The Klondike Bulletin newspaper from Masontown, Pennsylvania, dated Thursday, September 11, 1958. The front page features local headlines such as "Veteran Housing Project May Go To Hold Annual Rally," "Knights to Sponsor Circus Here Friday," and national updates regarding social security changes. Paired with this newspaper is an exceptionally rare, vibrant double-sided Carson & Barnes 5-Ring Circus promotional window poster advertising an upcoming show at the Seaview Square Mall in Ocean Township. The poster displays bold retro typography, illustrations of performing elephants, exotic animals, and acrobatic acts. Circus advertisements paired with identical-era local news print are highly scarce, making this specialized bundle a great addition to any ephemera collection.
